The department of bridges and engineering structures ensures all stages of design documentation from study up to final design for the other departments of the firm or as separate contracts with both public and private sectors.
Bridges department characteristic:
The department composed of experienced staff elaborates designs of reinforced concrete, composite steel-concrete and steel structures for railway and road bridges, pedestrian and cyclist bridges, and subways. It solves reconstructions, new constructions and maintenance of bridges, temporary and supporting structures, load-bearing capacity of existing bridges.
Within large line projects it also prepares the requirements for surveying.
Important projects implemented in particular on the railway corridors include, for example, the line sections Červenka - Zábřeh na Moravě, Plzeň - Stříbro, Stříbro - Planá u Mariánských Lázní, Prague Libeň - Prague Běchovice, Ústí nad Labem - Děčín, Hranice na Moravě - Polom.
The participation of the Bridges department in the design of the section Prague Bubeneč - Kralupy nad Vltavou was evaluated by the price „Transport Project of the Year 2004“ for sensitive integration of the project in the landscape.
